An exclusive 4 day practice retreat, with Alex Tse and Bibi Lorenzetti.

— Open to All Levels of Practice —

Join us for an in depth exploration of wealth through the practice of Yoga and the Vedas. In the Vedas, wealth is portrayed as one of the many parts that make up a balanced life, encompassing both material prosperity Artha and spiritual well-being 𝐷ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑚𝑎, 𝐾𝑎𝑚𝑎, 𝑀𝑜𝑘𝑠ℎ𝑎.The divine goddess of wealth, Goddess Lakṣmī, is a central figure for this topic. We encounter Goddess Lakṣmī in the Shri Suktam, a hymn from the Ṛgveda. This hymn brings us into the heart of what she represents, and includes the Lakṣmī Gayatri.

During this weekend together we will uncover the many qualities of Goddess Lakṣmī as a means to identify them within ourselves, explore how to prepare the mind through the practice of Yoga and chanting to receive her blessings, invite the wealth she represents as abundance, prosperity, health, beauty and harmony by truly understanding the meaning of wealth as presented in the Vedas.

Menla is a truly unique venue and a project of Tibet House US – the Dalai Lama’s cultural center in North America – a modern resort and destination spa surrounded by thousands of acres of unspoiled wilderness. Inspired by the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Tibet, we strive to keep alive knowledge handed down for centuries. Dedicated to a small group of participants seeking to deepen their practice and receive lots of individualized attention. Read the full story here.
